On Jan. 19th, Minister of SMEs and Startups Young Lee held a meeting, ‘Korea Meets Innovators’ with Innovators Community on the occasion of the World Economic Forum.
At this meeting, Minister Lee introduced Korea's startup and venture policies to global startup CEOs, and exchanged various opinions on the global economic outlook, the impact on the startup ecosystem, and challenges and opportunities of the startup ecosystem in Korea.
Minister Lee said, “The Korean government has a strong will to nurture startups, making ‘Startup Korea’ a pillar of the economy.” She asked for interest in Korea's startup ecosystem, saying, “I hope you seriously consider Korea a your business partner as it has technology and talent as a bridgehead in Asia.”
